We didn't intend on going to Graceland today, but we ended up with some free time this afternoon and decided to head out. But before we get to Elvis mania, we did a little more sightseeing around Memphis for the first half of the day, notable activities were the trolley ride around town and the Gibson Factory.
We were a little dubious about going to Graceland, as it's not the cheapest of tourist attractions, but surprisingly it was a worthwhile trip.
Graceland has been well preserved, you really feel like you have stepped back into the 70's, a modest home but Elvis definitely indulgenced in the things that interested him, for example his own racket ball court. On display was his numerous awards, for his short career, he blitzed the music scene, and there were several rooms displaying his gold and platinum records.
Elvis definitely is alive and well in the hearts of his fans!
