Today was a working day, so after Lucy and Stefan had departed, we took a very long walk down Queen St, through Little Italy to the City Hall. Plenty of shopping along the way, if only it was Christmas- there were so many cool shops. Finally got our hotdogs for lunch, with all the acoutrements.

Very tired when we fit him, but little time to relax, before everyone returned home. My cousin Paul also met up with us for dinner. I hadn't seen him for 6 years, and of course he had never met Ali or Toby. So we had a few beers, and went out as a group to a Korean BBQ restaurant. The banquet deal was that we had to get through 8 different types of meat before we were allowed to choose what we wanted. But after spicy pork, sirloin, sweet pork, bacon, pepper beef, we had to call it quits.

Off to the US early tomorrow, so one last chance to say thank you to Lucy and Stefan for being such wonderful and generous hosts.

And so the last famous Canadian is the prime minister. Steven Harper. Currently most famous for getting rid of the census. No one really knows why he wants to do it, and it certainly doesn't appear to be pleasing business or academia. Appropriate to have a politician on the day that Australia finally forms a government.
