Well ok, so no bush fires, but it was 33 degrees (91 F) today, and it was hot. We went for a walk in Prospect Park, and had to hide in the shade. Luckily some of the playgrounds came equipped with cooling fountains.

The day had started early with a flight from Toronto City Airport. The airport is on a small island right opposite downtown Toronto. You catch a 5 minute dedicated ferry across to the island. The only airline that uses the airport is Porter, a specialized canadian short haul carrier flung only bombardier q400's. A most impressive airline: soooo many staff, no queues, free refreshments whilst waiting to board, no airport shops, breakfast on the plane, and we were the only arrival at Newark international, so minimal delay at immigration. Definitely would fly them again.

So anyway, back in the US of A, sad to leave Canada, but now off on the adventure. We are staying in the ground floor apartment of a brownstone row house. A fantastic family friendly neighborhood, I don't think I have ever seen so many prams as we saw this afternoon.
