We drove the Icefields Parkway from Jasper to Banff. Unfortunately there were low clouds for most of the way, hiding much of the alpine scenery. But it is still an amazing drive, and we stopped off at Athabasca falls, and had lunch and a walk at Lake Louise.
Decided to push on to banff and checkin earlier than we have been. A night in, with pizza, red wine, and baseball. It wouldn't be right not to discover something new - we also tried Motts Clamato Caesar (a bottled bloody Mary with clam stock) as an aperitif, and a pouline (a native Canadian chips, gravy and cheese concoction) for appetizers.
Today's famous Canadian is Donovan Bailey. He won the 1996 Olympic 100m sprint, and was the first canadian to legally break 10seconds. Of course the first canadian to illegally break 10 seconds was Ben Johnson, disqualified after winning gold in 1988.
