So we have arrived in LA. Thumbs up to:
-V Australia - good food, plenty of space
-US Customs & Border Protection - for being friendly and not too slow (and not fingerprinting Toby!)
-Our cabbie for realizing that my brain was too tired to calculate the tip.
Thumbs down to:
-the people who pushed past us to get off the plane (only to get stuck behind us getting off the bus)
-organic food at outrageous prices
-WiFi broken.
Definitely worthwhile buying an extra seat on the plane, as per the photo, we had the three middle seats to ourselves, which meant Toby could sleep stretched out between us. I wouldn't say that we had a perfect night, but he was the quietest baby on the plane, and kept flirting with all around.
Spent a pleasant hour hunting for food in Venice, before settling on organic cheese and tomato sandwich, cooked in out strange but overall comfortable apartment. And reacquainted with Californian beer - Pranqster Belgian style golden ale.
