We had a lovely snuggly sleep and woke up to Craig calling us for pancakes. We emerged from the basement and enjoyed a lovely breakfast with the family. The fresh berries on pancakes was a real winner.

It was then pack-up time and we left the house with Craig at around 11 to head towards Blue Mountain. On the way we went into Collingwood town which is around 30 minutes from Marie's house. It is a beautiful picturesque little town with snowy streets and yards filled with Christmas lights. We stopped at the shops to get a few items for dinner and breakfast and then went to the Pita Pit for lunch. In true Canadian style the pitas were huge but super delicious. We then walked across the road to one of Craig's favourite coffee shops. It is so cosy and has great character. We enjoyed a hot chocolate and had lovely chats with Craig. As we were walking through the town we started talking about The Hobbit movie and decided to see if it was playing at the cinemas in town. We checked it out and found it was. Craig called Tanya to see if she wanted to join us but Orin had a temperature so she decided not to come. We went to the 14:30 movie and loved it. It was interesting to see that they serve hotdogs and nachos at the movies. They also pump liquid butter into the popcorn if you want it. Seemed a bit yuck to us so we opted for the usual popcorn which was delicious just as it was.

After movies we drove to Blue Mountain which was just 15 minutes away. Blue Mountain is a ski resort that was started in the '30s. It has developed into a beautiful walking village with around 30 slopes and a whole bunch of snow related activities. We checked into our suite which Penny had kindly booked for us and felt very spoilt. It is a two bedroom suite with a kitchen, dining room table and a little lounge with a fireplace. Best of all it is right in the middle of the town so overlooks the snowy streets and the slopes. We settled in for the night. We cooked a pasta dish for dinner and had a lovely time sitting together just talking nonsense. It has been a wonderful day just hanging out with Craig and seeing the frosty towns. We are looking forward to Dave and Penny joining us tomorrow and to get into the skiing and snow fun that the resort has to offer.
