We woke with a Christmas Orin elf coming to wish us in bed. Snow falling out side our window. We went upstairs (we in the basement bedroom, which is very nicely done up) to wish the rest of the family and to tuck into a big breakfast of all sorts of delicious things. There were stomach pains in anticipation of the rest of the days meals.
The great grandparents, Dom and Marie, arrived for the festivities.
After breakfast it was time for the excitement of open stockings. Santa had still remembered us! There was great fun and chaos.
Orin got a new sled for Christmas, so we went for a walk around the property in the snow, dragging Orin on his sled. It was fun to try out the 'tennis racquet' looking snow shoes.
We decided to try out Craig's cross country skis too. They took a little getting used to and we both had falls.
Back inside there were some delicious snacks to tied us through until the main meal later in the afternoon.
We played some Pictionary and lazed around. Made phone calls to family back in SA wishing them for the day.
The grand finale for the day was a delicious Christmas late lunch with all sorts of wonderful delights.
A very special Christmas with our Canadian family.
