So Anton is still not feeling great so we had a quiet, rest day today. Tess took a walk to the pharmacy and shop to get some cough medicine and breakfast which we enjoyed in our guesthouse room. We then went up to the swimming pool so the staff could tidy the room and enjoyed a bit of a swim and lie in the sun. Tess more than Sick boy.
The guesthouse owner, Joe, lent Tess a book entitled Private Dancer which is a very interesting account of the relationship between the bar girls and foreigners in Bangkok. Sad but so interesting and well written. So it was really a day of reading, watching tv and recovering. We walked down the road for a quick dinner of Thai food before heading back to the room. It was exciting to Skype with Dave and Luke for a catch up. It seems like things at Now Media are going well and Travelinfo is getting rave reviews. Luke also had good news in that Kelly passed her physio exam in Dubai so can now treat patients and get a salary. Well done, Kel! Sounds like they are settling in well and getting into the swing of things there.
Other than that we are both holding thumbs that the antibiotics will kick in soon so Ant feels better and we can enjoy our last day in Phuket tomorrow. Then it's off to Bangkok and onwards to Hong Kong.
