5 buses, 3 tuk tuks and 12 hours later we arrived at our hotel in Bangkok. It has been a long day of travel, not much else. The border today was a nightmare, just really long lines.

Our hotel for the next couple of days is a 10 minute walk from Khaosarn road, the famous back packer strip in Bangkok. We walked down in an effort to find our hotel, but the Thais seem to like giving directions, even if they don't know what you talking about, so in the end we gave up and got a tuk tuk which took us straight to our hotel for R10. The road itself was a great party road with shops, street food, restaurants, live music and a great vibe.

Not having a great idea where we were and a little away from our hotel reception to find out, we headed out to walk to Khoasan. We soon gave up, and headed to a local overpriced spot close to the hotel for fried rice for dinner. Not exactly what we were looking for, but just too tired to care. Having started the day at 0630 we ready for bed and looking forward to Tessa's parent arriving to join us tomorrow.
