We like Adelaide.  It is bright, sunny and welcoming with fresh, clean air and surrounded on all 4 sides by parks.  Not a cloud in the sky.  We've done the main sights in the city, including see the Don's museum (Sarah loved it) and the Botanical Gardens and today, apart from a visit to Haigh's chocolate factory, we've been to the bustling central market (mangoes the size of rugga balls we bought, "Kanga bangas" we didn't) and the beach at Glenelg via the city-to-beach tram.  The sun sets at about 8pm so we're loving all the time in the scorching sun.  Tomorrow we pick up our camper van and head out on to the open roads into the hills for some winery visits and then down to Kangaroo Island for 5 days.
