Hi Again
We've been pretty busy this last week sorting out our flight details to and from the various cities. For the last few days we have been in the South of Sri Lanka in a place called Hikkaduwa.
The place has some excellent coral reefs apparently and thousands of types of fish but because of the monsoon the water is too rough to see it properly.
The sri Lankan people have been really friendly to us which is even more impressive when you consider that 18 months ago this area was badly hit by the boxing day Tsunami. Many people have lost loved ones, and there is still a great fealing of loss for some. The wave was 18m high when it hit, and came inland for about 2km.
Despite this as I said the people are very nice and make you feel most welcome. On the second day that we were here there was a carnival involving many different dancers and alike, elephants and stilt walkers. Even when the rain pissed down on them they were still dancing away and getting battered on the local spirits of fruit choice and god knows what please see attached pictures.
Apparently we are going to Singapore during the great annual Singapore sale, so we will get stocked up on a phone and other electrical goods if they are as cheap as we have been told.
hope all is well with everyone back home, speak to you soon
Bye
