I have a headache!!!! Just can't understand it. Today its into town. Caught the Cal Train to downtown SF , mini rail to the piers and raced to Pier 33 (Russells leg gave out so we caught a pedicab) to our tour to Alcatraz . What a great tour, so interesting and so well done. You could really get the whole feeling of it all with the phone narration from ex prisoners and wardens. What a tense place it must have been. We walked up to Ghiradelli Square, queued for ages to catch the SF Cable cars (like our old trams) up the very steep hills to downtown SF and straight back again. Today was the Festival of Love so it was packed with the young, all dressed up in bright, flowery, tights etc bands playing everywhere and lots of fun. Dinner at the Crab House on Pier 39 Fishermans Wharf was great, our last dinner together on this trip and Russell managed to polish off a huge Dungeness crab!!!!
