Where I stayed
San Pedro Apartments
Hello all
Strange ending to the last post I know. Travelpod went a bit funny. Anyway as we waited on the street corner with all the luggage for Steve, a big big truck came and reversed into the very little street that we wanted to drive through to get out of town. It stopped and put up a barrier to stop other cars.. No official status. That is just what they do. Anyway we did find our way out of town eventually...
It was a relatively short trip to San Pedro de Alcantara. A smallish town just south of the big cities Malaga and Marbella on the Costa del Sol. If you think the Gold Coast has lost its charm you aint seen nothing yet. Still San Pedro is a nicer town. We wandered around and had a lovely lunch in a restaurant run by a dutch family then went down to the beach. Beautiful blue water but no waves and very dark sand. This town is full of apartment buildings that appear to be pretty empty. It is clear the area is still suffering a financial crisis.
We came back to our apartment which is vey nice and cooked our own dinner. Very simple local food.
Off to Ronda in the morning
Adios
