The great thing about having a campervan is you can park and sleep in some convenient places. On the port of Tin Can bay was a good example of this. Parked opposite the public toilets we got up and freshened ourselves up at the crack of dawn, then drove round the corner to Tin Can Bay itself. This is little more than a mooring port one side, with a cafe on the seafront at the other. The draw for the crowds though, is the wild dolphins who appear at the seafront by the cafe every morning to be fed. Arriving there early meant we got to get a front row seat, or stand, in the sea, knee high.
One of the gimmicks the cafe has cottoned on to is selling food to the tourists. There must have been 150 people there when we left, that is a couple of fat dolphins if they get that sort of crowd every day! Still, a pretty cool experience of wildlife again for us both, and we saw some wild horses on the way back too, something else to add to the list of sights!
