Mckinlay is a small and insignificant place, aside for one stop that we made right in the middle of this very small town. As we pulled up at Walkabout Creek, we almost expected to see Wally greet us, for this was the Pub where Crocodile Dundee was filmed, and it looked exactly as it did in the movie all those years ago. Still run as a pub/hotel, we went in after several outdoor pics, greeted by a very friendly barman, who talked us around the various artefacts in the pub, and the changes since the movie. On the wall there was many items of memorabilia, and strangely, a signed rolfaroo above the TV! This item was not for sale, but they did offer other souvenirs, and a baseball cap and teeshirt later, we left the pub agreeing this was one of our favourite stops so far in Australia.
I know what you are asking too, and no, Donk does not work there.
