"The UFO Capital of Australia"
Well, so it proclaims to be, and the petrol station-cum-Campsite also makes outlandish, and probably untrue statements such as 'it is more likely to see a UFO than not see one'. Nonetheless, as the photos will show, they have put a lot of effort in to the decor surrounding this, with large Green Aliens on the petrol forecourt, and eerily painted night sky scenes on the walls. Once you enter the petrol station there is also a number of newspaper cuttings, books on the subject and a sightings book full of people's accounts of their viewings. It read much like a journal when I picked it up;
"Night one, no sightings, although the place has an strange feel to it"
"Night two, still no UFO's, but the dog on site was barking through the night, maybe it was something I missed"
I flicked through further...
"Really enjoyed our stay, we did not see anything but..."
Right! That's it we aint staying here! 2 random reads, both had no sightings, we'd stay up the road at the devils' marbles. It was only a few kms away, and was free. In the unlikely event that some paranormal activity would occur, I was pretty confident we would still be within viewing distance of ET and his mates.
