We loved Macau!

The hotel rocked (especially after the box room we had in HK), the people were uber friendly and there was lots to see (which were all very close to our hotel).

Again, we only stayed for a couple of days cos it's a bit out of our price range, but we had a lot of fun while we were there. We did a whirlwind tour of the sights with the very impressive (and thorough - no sights were allowed to be missed!) tour guide, Mr Andrew Pearce! They were all very varied and totally free (yey!).

The highlight, though, was the casino! We went to the Venetian Casino which was massive and very very impressive! There was a river running through the casino, including gondolas and bridges! The ceiling was made to look like a lovely sunny day (and we were there at 3am so it was eerie!).

We played on the slots (and watched the tables but were too scared to play!). I was rubbish but Drew was on fire! He pretty much won on every machine he played. By the end of the night, we were up by one pound which we saw as a massive triumph as we only allowed ourselves to play with ten pounds!

(The other one of my highlights was the locals at the family-run restaurant down our road laughing at Drew's chopstick method. They found it hilarious that he uses his left hand and insisted he use his right hand which was even funnier as he could barely hold them...)

We were both really sad to leave Macau...
