On Thursday we took a panoramic tour of London with Heather as our guide. We got to see all of the traditional London sites like Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and the Globe Theater; it's always fun to tour with heather because you get all of the facts in a condensed and entertaining manner. We also got to see a variety of HP related sites including Parliament (where Harry and co. flew by at the beginning of OOTP), the Australia House that acted as Gringotts bank, Borough Market that can be seen in POA when Harry stayed in the Leaky Cauldron and where the Knight Bus dropped Harry off at the Leaky Cauldron (and they bumped into the parked car), and Leadenhall Market that was part of Diagon Alley in SS.  We also went right by the City of London School where Dan Radcliffe went to school before HP and was conveniently located next to the Millennium Bridge – a pedestrian bridge used as the beginning of HBP when it gets snapped in half by the Death Eaters.  We got to walk across the bridge which was really cool since we just saw it the night before!

After our tour we met up with the family group in Regents Park to play quidditch!  My family wore matching Dumbledore’s Army shirts for the occasion. On each team there were 3 people holding the hoops, 1 seeker (the small ball was launched by a catapult into the air and had to be caught before hitting the ground), 5 chasers that had to dribble the ball and pass, 2 beaters that tried to control the bludgers that were thrown by 2 "bludger masters" on the sidelines who tried to hit the chasers – if the chasers get hit then it became the other team’s ball.  The beaters are also able to get the lose bludgers to their team’s bludger masters.  It was really fun and the chasers job was by far the most tiring, I also enjoyed being a bludger master.  David and dad also played and got really into it, it was funny to watch them up against the little kids.

After quidditch we stayed in town before our show of We Will Rock You, a musical by Queen and Ben Elron, at the Dominion Theater.  We went with Michelle, Tanya, Steph, and Steph’s mom and it was a really fun show!  It had a futuristic plot but the music was absolutely phenomenal and it was a mixture of a musical and a concert since they used all Queen songs.  When we got out it was pouring down rain but we took the tube and walked back to our hotel.  There were so many people in the streets it was crazy!
