It was like traveling back through time to the Wild West, the time of cowboys and gold mines.
Even the people who work there are dressed like at the times of the gold rush. And they also act like it. I even went into an old school and joined a school lesson. It was very interesting to experience how live was about 130 years ago. Although I had to wear an awful cap and had to write with my right hand! Later we walked to an old courthouse and listened to the judge talking about his job 130 years ago. One evening we watched a play in the Theater Royal it was about every day life as an inhabitant of Barkerville.
But the highlight of this trip was the Northern Lights we saw one evening after dinner! It was amazing and so surprising! I have never seen something like that before.
