We left Rimini and went on to visit my wonderful friend Simon in the Italian alps. We left a bit late due to the previous nights events, and figured that we would definitely get stuck in traffic. To our surprise traffic floes smoothly and we were good on time. Adding on some time we figured we would get to Simon around midnight, at the latest. Well, of course not. About two hours into the drive, close to Modena, we where parked on the highway. An accident had closed the road about 10 km ahead of us, and nothing was moving. There was no way out, so we had to wait. 2 hours later we had moved about 4 km, which was really good. By the time we got to the first exit, the accident was cleared out and we could stay on the highway and continue our voyage. Not for long though, when all the excitement of being able to drive again had calmed down, we got really tired. That night we had our first sleep over in the car (in Europe). It wasn't bad at all, we stopped at a auto stop gasstation/restarea, cooked up some pasta (this one still from Poland) and turned the car into a bed.

We woke up around 8am (yeah, we did sleep pretty good considering the location) and drove towards Torino. We got to Simon, and Sauze, in the afternoon. It was really great to see Simon again and the town was just amazing. The fresh air and the beautiful view. Really relaxing! We helped to paint in Simons internet shop and hung out outside his house that day. Had some appetizers at a local bar, and went home and bbq:ed. The rest of the weekend we hung out with Simons friend from England, Spencer, and hiked a bit in the national park, and got our tans started. It was just the best time! Saturday night we went to Simon and Damien's bar and had a few drinks. There was a Italian local bad playing, even if you would understand what they said, they sucked...but they where really funny so it was ok. The weekend was overall the most relaxing time we had on this trip. Thank you Simon!!!

We left early morning Sunday, and drove through the mountains to Montpellier...the drive was also very beautiful! that's it for now....until next time, bacio
