Right now we are in Florence, Italy and it's beautiful. We got here yesterday evening, after leaving Venice and visiting Verona and Parma. Venice was amazing, with it's small alleys and historical buildings. The gondolas swept by, with their drivers singing "o'sole mio", and we did consider taking a ride down these beautiful canals...then we got the price from one of the less friendly gondola drivers, and decided that watching from one of the many bridges would be just as great as beeing the one in the gondola being watched. (70 euro for 40 minutes...half the time wating in line behind other gondolas trying to get through the narrow waterlanes.
Our campsite was great, a 20 minute drive outside the city, with a suttle that took us all the way into the center. Our first night there we hung out with this plder couple from Great Britain. We sat up until 2am discussing everything and nothing. That was a nice start for Venice.

After Venice we visited Verona, very quickly. Took a walk in the stadium, the 3rd oldest standing in the world. Awsome. We also went on to Romeo and Juliett's balcony, where we hung out with many other people trying to get a photo of the balcony without any people on it. The walls around this place where covered with chewing gum and notes with people's names notes, with old sticky gum...mmmmmmmmm

Our next stop the same day was Parma, where the Parmaggian cheese and parma ham come from. This is also the birthplace of the music compositor Verdi and the hometown of Barilla pasta. Here we wanted to get to sample the foods offered. Well, we got in a bit late, so the siesta was already rolling high strong, so much was closed. We also drove around for about 1 hour trying to figure out the town parking system, which finally had us parked way out and hiking into town. Mighty tired of walking, we (I, Anna, more so then Ian) did not have the patiance to look for the cheese and ham no longer and ended up going into the first store we saw...well, this must have been a real deli store, because when we walked out 20 minutes later the guy behing the counter had sold me food for almost 30 euro(35 dollars) and we don't have a frigde. Well, I take the blame...we had a nice dinner that night at the campground with the deli pasta we had bought and some barilla sauce from the supermarket. Very exclusive!!!:)

Today we have visited Firenze, and the city is massive. Filled up to the top with history it's all very overwhelming. We just got down from the Duomo (the main dome at the santa maria del fiore cathedral) It was amazing, and the 463 steps gave a great view at the end. Last night we slept at a campground right in the center by Michealangelo's square, and on a hill. So all night we were sliding around in the tent. This morining we moved the tent, and hope to sleep better tonight. Ok, now it's time to upload the photos, before my time runs out!!!
