I arrived midafternoon and set off into the centre. In one afternoon I travelled on big train (from Brno), Rapid Train (used within Vienna), light rail (above and below ground) and the underground (confusingly also above and below ground).

I didn't have time for much more than quick sightseeing and planning for the next day.

Getting off the tram in Karlsplatz I was immediately taken by Karlskirche.

In Stephansplatz it was the unmistakable sounds of a protest (and building occupation) that grabbed my attention. As I walked back later the Police had cordons up and seemed to have settled in.
