Buzios is sometimes called the St Tropez of South America. It is located very close to Rio de Janeiro and is a beautiful little beach town. It was put on the map by Bridget Bardot, who loved to spend time here. Out ship anchored off shore and we tendered in. Ken and Andrea walked around the town and did some shopping. Then they went on a boat ride that was theoretically supposed to include snorkeling. However the water is the Atlantic Ocean and it is quite cold. Ken got in and Andrea chickened out. We rode the boat around and looked at many beautiful beaches. We also got to drink Caipirinha's which is Brazil's national drink. They are delicious. During our boat ride guys with food came up to our boat and came onboard. The first guys had shrimp that they had grilled. They were small, really tender shrimp and you ate the shell and all. Ken and Andrea loved these. Then another group came up, they had a barbecue grill on their boat and were grilling beef kabobs and some kind of Brazilian cheese on a stick. Ken an Andrea did not try these. This day reminded Ken and Andrea of a day on a Caribbean island.
