Well it was a cloudy gloomy day today, but we went off exploring anyway. I had wanted to go to Fish Haul Creek Park, because there were reports of lots of interesting bird sightings there. If you look at the map of Hilton Head Island above here, you will see that the island is shaped like a foot. Fish Haul Creek Park is in the Achilles tendon of the foot. We saw may different small shore birds. However it was hazy and I need better binoculars. I just couldn't get a good view of them to identify them. We saw crows, which Ken has now learned to identify both by sight and by sound - I am sure you are all impressed. Then an eagle flew over us. A few minutes later another eagle flew by and landed on the beach. We watched it for quite a while. We also saw ibises, pelicans, great egrets and great blue herons.

After that we went to the outlet mall and Ken now has new clothes! We had dinner at the Skull Creek Boathouse. Now we are trying to figure out how to get these clothes home.

It has been a good, relaxing three weeks. Can't wait until next year.
