Counting down now - five more days to go and true to the rest of our trip, the
weather was dry and sunny. A shorter ride today, the Support Team were only on
duty three times . On our first stop, we set up the mobile café in a layby close
to a major junction, 15 miles out of Abington. The highlight of this stop was
when Mike called to the bullocks in the field next to us and they all came over
to see him. There must be have been at least thirty of them, all very beautiful
animals. Our lunch stop was 18 miles further on. Unfortunately, the Support
couldn't find any pubs in the scheduled area, so they made up ham and cheese
rolls, copious cups of tea and apple pie for dessert. The next stop was Alloa
where we are now safely housed in a large old hotel in the High Street. Our
dinner tonight was at Aldo's, an Italian restaurant which we can thoroughly
recommend. Delicious Italian food and friendly staff.
