Hey again. I decided to go ahead and type now while I still feel like it. I think I'm starting to get lazy as far as my writing is concerned. Is it possible to have too much fun to the point where you don't even feel like writing about it anymore? Maybe so.

I guess I'll recap the week starting from Wednesday:

On Wednesday I decided to go to SuperU to go pick up a few supplies for dinner. Nothing exciting here. Oh, I found a HUGE spider in the corner of my room. I almost had a heart attack. At SuperU I found everything I needed minus soy sauce. When I got home that evening I explained my spider dilemma to Cyril. Thankfully, he murdered the offender that was robbing me of my peace of mind. Cooking went alright but my results were less than awesome. You see, I was missing soy sauce... and even more bothersome, Angélique does not consume salt and she had run out of pepper. The end result of my meal was a HEALTHY (gross), less flavourful version of my Mother's famous peppered steak. Anyway, they both seemed very pleased that I had made the effort to cook and we all chowed down. The meal was commemorated with a new bottle of wine. Unfortunately, Cyril had probably bought the bottle from SuperU. It was disgusting and bitter. After dinner, we all plopped down on the couch to watch "Nouvelle Star"; the French version of American Idol.

Thursday pretty much felt like a Friday to me. Angélique, Liam, Mémé and I went to Pont l'Abbé for their Thursday "marche aux puces" (flea market). Mémé had a grand ol' time looking around at clothing and overpriced sunshades. I was pretty bored. There was nothing of particular interest at the market. Nothing I couldn't find for cheaper in the States, anyway. I bought a cheap little shell bracelet just to say I had bought something. Two seconds and 3 feet away I immediately regretted it. We wandered arount Pont l'Abbé for a bit more before we left and dropped off Liam and Mémé. Then Angélique and I headed to Bénodet for a lovely day on the beach. We arrived at Bénodet and I decided to get some lunch. I opted for fries and sausage (strange combo, but yummy). After I devoured my food, I returned to the kiosk for some ice cream. Like I true fatty, I chose the 3 scoops in a waffle cone covered in hot chocolate and topped with whipped cream. My friends, I have discovered Nutella flavoured ice cream. I kid you not, the delicious taste of Nutella has somehow been captured within an ice cream and I will probably be 10 pounds heavier now that I have discovered it. I noticed that there were many tourists in Bénodet. Two gorgeous guys in front of me while ordering my food spoke perfect english with a British accent. And on the beach, two British families were vacationing with their children. What's funny about kids is that they speak with a really exaggerated pronunciation and accent. There is a commercial here for yogurt (out of the thousands) that I especially hate. There's this little French kid who just LOVES this brand of yogurt and he speaks with the most disgustingly exaggerated French accent. Likewise, the little kids next to us were speaking English in the most annoying British accent. "Stop it Louise! Now look what you've done! You've gone and RUINED it!" It was gross. Anyway, the beach was great. I read. I baked in the sun. I even put my toes in the frigid water. Unfortunately, just as we were leaving Angélique came down with a case of sun sickness. I valiantly offered to fetch the car and she eventually agreed. I sprinted to the car, key and hand, determined to save my dear friends. I reached the car in record time and unlocked the door. With my awesome stick shift driving skills ready, I placed the key in the ignition and turned.

Nothing.

The key would not budge. Undeterred, I tried again. Still nothing. I tried almost everything. I took out the key, put it back in, and tried turning. I pressed random buttons in the car. I became frantic thinking of poor sick Angélique depending on me. The inside of the car was an oven and I was covered in sweat. I tried and tried some more but the steering wheel was locked, and the key was stubbornly stuck in a locked position. Just when I was about to give up and walk back in shame I saw that Angélique had somehow walked on her own to the car. I explained that I couldn't start the car and bowed my head in disgrace. Still quite sickly, she explained that she locks her steering wheel to discourage theft so that it was near impossible to start the car and she had forgotten to inform me. We laughed it off after she was feeling better, and we headed home. Crisis adverted.

Today we went back to Pont l'Abbé once more, bright and early with Mémé and Liam. Titan, their little dog had an appointment at the toiletteur (groomer).  We walked around all the shops and I bought some cute little things for myself. I also stopped at a crêperie where I bought the best crêpe I have ever tasted in my life. No exaggeration here, I assure you. My crêpe was served with butter and sugar (STOP JUDGING ME) in the centre and it was hot and fresh. I would be so much bigger than I am now if I had one of these babies every morning. It was pure bliss. Ol' Crêpevine in Tallahasse has NOTHING on crêpes bretonns. In fact, I vow to never purchase another crêpe in the US. They simply do not compare.

Anyhow, that was pretty much today. When we got back from Pont l'Abbé I decided to take a nap to get rid of my chronic headache and when I awoke, the house was completely empty. Today is Friday so we were supposed to go to dance class, but I guess they didn't want to disturb me so they just left. They're back now, and we're all on the couch watching "L'ile de la tentation" (Temptation Island). This is French trash reality TV, but everyone seems to love it. So there, the last few days in a nutshell.

I know this entry wasn't nearly as exciting, but life can't always be exciting can it? :)

Until next time,

Bisous!

If I could bring back some Nutella ice cream somehow, I would, and we'd eat it together while watching Chocolat or something.

And yep, she is.
