We got enough rain late in August to bring the Tohickon Creek up, it was on the low side 575 cfs, but runnable. Its rare you get the run the Toh in the warm weather so we took advantage of it.

We met at the Put-in in Ralph Stover State Park and got on the river.

Mike had us doing side surfing lessons in class II+ Fish or Swim Rapid. I was starting to feel a bit more comfortable with it but I have alot of work to do yet.

When everyone was done surfing we continued into class II+ Corner Hole Rapid to work on some peel outs and surf the waves that were there.

Next up we ran class II+ Chainsaw Rapid, this is a fun rapid. I went down the small left hand chute and hit the big wave train at the bottom.

We next ran class II+ No Name Ledge and Mike got flipped at the bottom, that seems to happen everytime we run the Toh together. Thankfully he always rolls.

Next we entered class III Triple Drop Rapid. I got mashed here last time. So I was determined to run it right this time. Triple Drop is a series of 3 ledge drops with Green Monster, a nice surfing wave in between.

We eddy hopped and played our way down class III Racecourse Rapid. And then we pulled over to get ready for class III+ Hat's Rock Rapid. We ran Hat's Rock without a problem and continued through class II+ Pyramid Rock Rapid and onto the takeout.

It was a quick run but the Toh is short on mileage, all in all a nice warm rare day on the Tohickon Creek.
