On our last full day we decided to go to Cesky Krumlov, which was recommended to me by someone who has been there. It was a 3 hour journey through fields and sprinklings of snow. We stopped of for an hour in the town where Budweiser is brewed, and then headed to Cesky Krumlov itself. The town is in the meander of the Vltava river and so has not really been developed or expanded, and still retains original Medieval buildings and a castle. It was very pretty. We wandered around the town and I took hundreds of photos. We had lunch in a Medieval restaurant where we ate lots of meat and drank punch. We also tried the traditional Czech honey cake. After lunch we took scenic photographs of the river and the castle and I bought some crystal earrings. David bought the smallest box of matches ever, By this time it was snowing and very cold so we returned to Prague through the snowy hills. On the way back David found out that he passed all his accountancy exams so he was very happy and we celebrated with pizza!
The next day was our last day in Prague so we went to St Thomas church to see the gruesome bodies of some saints (dressed up skeletons) and I bought some little houses as a souvenir. Then we had to catch our flight to Birmingham.
