We decided to go and visit the castle that can be seen from anywhere in Prague. It is the residence of the president of th Czech Republic. Firstly we had to climb a very large number of stairs in order to reach it. We arrived in the square in front of the castle and there was a lovely view over Prague. We arrived just in time to see the changing of the guard which involved lots of marching around with guns. We went inside the castle to have a look around and saw the impressive cathedral, the old parliament building and the hall, a monastery and a theatre, the Zlata Ulika (a row of pretty little houses), an armoury, a torture chamber and some lovely views over Prague. It took almost the whole day to look around the castle because it is so big, so afterwards we headed to Cafe Imperial, an art nouveau cafe, to have some hot drinks.
