On the way to Gweru we saw one of the most amazing moons that I have ever seen. It was huge and bright with a purple haze. David texted me and said that in England there was a lunar eclipse so he had been looking at the moon. I had been looking at the Zimbabwean moon because it was so beautiful. So we were both looking at the same thing at the same time....
Anyway in Gweru is a park called Antelope Park, where they are doing a lion conservation programme so everything is lion related. They charge extortionate amounts so you can play with the lions and such like, all totally worth it of course. There are not many lions left but they are not on the endangered list yet. While I was there I went on an elephant ride, I swam with elephants (who threw me quite violently straight into a lake), watched the lions stalking the zebras and got to stroke and play with lion cubs which were completely adorable and I wanted to take them home. Unfortunately they don't let you take them so instead I took about a million photos so sorry for excessive photos of lions on this site!
