Curly Maple Gap Shelter
Had a good and bad day, rained just before I got up, so got wet getting down to Nolichucky River. Had to walk 1 ½ miles towards Erwin then got ride. Pick up first mail from NZ at Post Office, then straight to McDonalds for a feed. Sent film and letter back to NZ. Got food. Then looked about Erwin for gaz cylinder, but none available so hitched ride to Johnson City and procured. Hard case ride in car as every bump we went over door flew open. Got back to start of trail and had wet trip up to Curly Maple Gap Shelter. Great company with 5 others from NZ.
