Where I stayed
Onuku Farm Hostel
This was a great place to stay for our last couple of days - out on the Banks Peninsula, on a 1,000 acre sheep farm with 2,000 sheep. We stayed in a stargazer, a hut with a glass roof so you could look at the stars, whilst lying in bed - Andy thought this was very romantic! It also had a fantastic view out across the sounds, as it was at the top of the hill, and mounted on stilts. We also had a visitor, a peahen with 3 chicks, which slept on our balcony every night.

Hello!
Hope you are both well, the stargazer hut sounds fantastic, we want one of those! It's great to read your blog again, thanks for sending the link.
Take care.

Hi Veronica & Jimmy
Thanks for the comment - yes the stargazer's hut was definitely something special - well it was for Esther - Andy didn't have his contacts in so couldn't see the stars v well that night!
We've put a picture of it on the blog so you could build one in your backgarden - probably not so good in England tho' with the clouds and street lights!
Sadly, we've only a week left now in NZ - then we're off to Bangkok.
Hope all's well in Vicarage Lane.
Love to Felix and Lucas

Re: Hello!
On second thoughts - think you must have one of these already - can you see the stars through the glass in your kitchen - or you could stick a piece of glass in the shed roof!!!
