Where I stayed

A bug free night we are pleased to announce! Long may it last. We are not out of the woods yet.

Walked up to the local graveyard today. Quite a scene. It felt primative and natural without all the fuss of other graveyards. The setting up in the mountains seems the perfect resting place. If Andy wants to be buried with the rich and famous in Buenos Aires, I will choose here. The graves in general are just marked with a wooden cross but there are some more elaborate graves in what looks like the more recent extended part.

There was a fair on the town square today with music, traditional dancing and most importantly food! It was locro again for us! We perused some stalls and watched the children dancing. The boys were either taking it incredibly seriously or looking like the whole thing was really quite painful. The chubby kid was our fav! All the boys were about half the size of the girls which added a certain comic effect to their more macho moves.

Had a beer in Oliver's which is on the square and our main haunt for drinks as it is always open unlike most places and at least has a fleeting wi fi. Next door to this is the ice cream shop. Where Andy can get his new favourite flavour dulce de leche.

Dinner on our terrace with mountain views.
