Have tux will travel
After almost 2 weeks of staying with my relatives, I figured it was time to move on. So I flew down to Luton (just outside of London) to visit a friend from Canada who had moved over to England just about 8 years ago. The weekend I had chosen to stay with Brenda just happened to be the same weekend that some good friends of hers were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary - impeccable timing, eh? When I talked to Brenda from Scotland she informed me this was not your casual get together and I would need a tuxedo. Well...itīs good to be prepared for any eventuality and just happened to have packed my tux in with my camera gear...not! :-) I was truely spoilt on this trip - Brenda had arranged a rental for me. Did I mention Brenda is one of the sweetest women on earth with a heart of gold.
The anniversary party was held under a tent on the lawn of the home(more like mansion) of Brendaīs friends. It was a sit down affair with somewhere around 8 courses of exquisite cousine for 50 or so people. My jaw was almost on the floor. There was zero pretention at the party, everyone was very sociable and friendly. Needless to say I had a fantastic time.
