Had a bit of a late one last night, and perhaps one shandy too many. IŽm sitting drinking a warm cup of black coffee at the hostel, but iŽll survive...hopefully. Anyway, yday was a great day (apart from the morning after the night before bit which i am experiencing now) I caught a beast of a trout and found out thereŽs a new addition to a local family, local back home that is not local here, so hello Joshua and congrats to the new parents. Still having a great time but canŽt believe its been 5 weeks already, thereŽs 16 people from my group that finish their trip in Santiago which is this sunday so iŽm not looking forward to seeing everyone go, especially one australian girl but thereŽs 16 new people joining the tour in Santiago as well so weŽll see what happens.
Now to bring everyone up to date since my last entry, not that i can remember what it contains, but i think since then iŽve visited the biggest glacier in the world and got some great footage on video of massive chunks of ice falling off. Oh yeh and there was a very funny practical joke some of the girls thought would be amusing, they thought it would be a good idea to toilet paper out room and steal our bags, but we managed to work out who it was and steal all their blankets and pillows and hide them in our lockers, but neither one would admit to it so it was a pretty interesting April FoolŽs day this year. I also met some interesting people in Perito Moreno and had a bit of an adventure with Rich the NYŽer but donŽt think its a good idea to write the story, iŽll just have to save it for when i get home.
Did a big climb up at Torres national park, and eventually reached the famous 3 towers which at first i was a little disappointed by but after i sat down and had something to eat it actually was pretty impressive. You could spend weeks at that place, i think it is without a doubt one of, if not the most impressive and beautiful natural environment i`ve ever seen, mountains that go on for ever and lakes that are a shade of blue youŽll see nowhere else in the world, almost aqua. Lay under the stars one night, seen a couple of shooting stars. seen a couple of skunks which i was going to chase and try to get a photo of, but after some thought and remembering how cold the showers are in this place i decided i didnt want to upset it too much.
Anyway i must go and lie down, will try stick a few photos on. Hope everyone is well and not missing me too much. Speak soon, Andy
