Today I spend more time exploring the city of Tallinn.  I spent lots of time walking from street to street. i also went ot the upper part of the town where the Parliment is located. This parliment is the historic castle now converted into the Esteonian parliment.  Near by there is this beautiful multi domed cathedral called Alexander Nevsky cathedral ans it is dated back to the 1800s while the Russians occupied Estonia.

For the later part of the morning I went to the local market located next to the train station looking for those infamous exotic local berries. Unfortunately the berries are out of season and the tourist info personel told me the best time for berries and mushrooms are during autumn time.  It is interesting as I walked around, I saw lots of locals shopping for their daily goods, food, meat very similar to the farmers market, but the locals are speaking mostly Russian not Estonian !!!  Even the same goes for store owners. I guess there is still a large population of Russians in Tallinn.

This afternoon I took a walking tour of the city at the local bicycle hostel. This is actually low season that beside myself there is just this one other tourist from London going on the tour. The guide took us around the city, briefly described the history of the country and showed us the significant landmarks. I seemed to know most of the things the guide is taaking about except for a few landmarks that I dont recognize from before. I even pointed out the town mascot Toomas on top of the town hall and the guide and the London tourist were quite impressed.

This evening I am just going to the internet cafe and update my logs. Finding one has been a challenge indeed.
