Where I stayed
This morning Wilson, Angela and I went to Topkapi Palace for a grand tour. This is the site of former Imperial palace of the Ottoman Sultans. Over the years, the places was remodeled by different sultansto fit their taste, now the most impressive area to be seen is the Haram, where the concubines used to live. The palace also houses beautiful jewerly including a massive uncut Emerald that is more than 100+carat in size.
We visited the treasure room where the giant emeralds were held, armory, circumcison room and harem. There were packs of school kids visiting the area as well. The one room has the biblical treasures such as Prophet Mohammand's beard, Mosses' cane etc. very interesting.
The Harem is probably the most beautiful place in the entire palace where the wall was covered in beautiful mosaic tiles.
In the afternoon, we took a transfer bus from Istanbul to Canakkale. The evening when the sun was setting, we crossed the car boat across the Bosphorus strait to Canakkale and Hotel Helen for the night.
