To Hawkes Bay to enjoy Architecture & Wine.

In order to break the longish journeying, we returned to Taupo, where we had previously stayed to support the Cycle Riders. This time we have stayed in an apartment right on the beach ie just a hop , skip and a jump from door to water. I did not partake in the swimming in the Lake but I am told by Gina, Melissa & Geoffrey that it was warmer than the sea. We had a delightful walk around the Lake, which was extremely busy as this is a popular area at holiday times.
So, after a couple of hours drive we have now reached Hawkes Bay to the Havelock North District, where we are staying a Homestead in Woodford Heights owner by an artist, John Spittle and his wife Iris.
Prior to this we enjoyed a wine tasting, followed by a delightful lunch at Craggy Range Vineyard - beautiful and excellent food.
So we are settling in before popping out for Dinner
