The main purpose of our visit here? BEER!! All those fans of Budvar will know this is the home of said delicious Czech lager, and we thought a tour of the brewery and a few samples afterwards was definitely worth a stop. Unfortunately, as the girl at the camp site reception pointed out, they only do tours once a day at 2pm. And wouldn't you know it, we pulled up at 4pm, the closing time fairy had foiled us again. All was not lost, we visited the Budvar owned beer hall in town for a few of the best Budvars EVER!!! The main square was huge for a small town but we are beginning to find these town squares all very similar. Are we becoming blasé? I forgot to mention we stopped off at a cute little town called Telc on the way over for lunch. We decided we'd go the country roads and explore the Czech countryside a little. The roads were a bit hairy at times but we made it unscathed and it was actually quite beautiful, loads of lakes and trees, much prettier than the north of Czech republic.
