Welcome everyone to our latest blog as we travel for 3.5 weeks around Europe. We hope you enjoy this blog as much as we enjoy writing it.

As those of you on Facebook would know, I have now earned my Business Class International after 7 years of service at Qantas, and Ted and I could not have been more excited. After packing our bags, we considered taking a taxi to the airport before remembering that most taxi drivers who work at Sydney airport rank as highly as real estate agents, so we walked to the train station instead, even if it did mean walking with backpacks whilst in business attire.

Fortunately for us, we got business class straight away to Singapore. Hooray! As we waited in the lounge, we had the perfect view of the Dash 8's landing over at Domestic Airport, carrying my workmates to and fro. I wondered what the cabin crew for our flight would be like, and my question was answered when I saw Louise Perez was part of the crew - one of the FA's I hired for QantasLink. I knew it would be a great flight.

Well Business Class certainly exceeded my expectations on the A380! There was so much room, so much attention and so much attitude that came with the seat. I even tried my fully flat skybed but I probably should have waited until after the aircraft stopped ascending as it made all the blood rush to my head and gave me a head spin.

The service was outstanding and made me happy to be part of the big Q. Louise also came to visit and gave me a tour of Economy and Premium Economy, and a peek into First Class. When we arrived in Singapore, we crossed everything hoping we would get Business Class again to London. The moment was bittersweet though as I got it and Ted didn't. As I was laying back on my skybed, drinking champagne and eating a smoked salmon steak, I felt very guilty. I went down to Economy occasionally to give Ted some treats as well as an immigration express pass to get over the bad feeling I had.

The amazing thing is that I managed to get about 7 hours sleep, which is probably the total amount of sleep I've gotten in economy over the past 38 years. Before we knew it, we were in London. And if we had forgotten that fact, the CSM reminded us of that by doing all her PA's in some pompous, made-up Pommy accent!

My goodness, the departure has already occurred! I can't believe it's come around so fast. Glad you like travelling on my little machine. It is a nice bird, ey. What a pity I wasn't operating, though! Wish I'd known, I might've been able to bid for the trip. Then again, why would I want to go to work? Hehe... You really need to try first class next time, coz it makes the trip oh-so-lovely. And after that, you'll probably end up talking with a plum like the CSM! LOL! Seriously though, most of the crew operating between SIN & LHR are LHR crew, hence the accents. Thankfully, they're just as lovely as the SYD crew. Have a fabbo trip. As always, enviously yours, W :)

Andrew! I cannot believe you are off "leaving on a jet plane" once again. Am feeling many mixed emotions of jealousy!!!!! How good is the pointy end on a nice long trip. Poor Ted. I am sure he will forgive you in time. Loving hearing what you two are up to. Please say hi to the Queen for me x

Love reading the blog as it doesn't take much to get me excited when it comes to traveling, even if I'm not the lucky one. I traveled in Premium Economy on the A380 when I went to the Olympics in Canada last year and I was very impressed with that. I can imagine what Business Class would be like. I'm sure on your return if you aren't lucky enough to be seated together in Bus Class, you will gladly give up your seat for Ted this time. Guess it's only fair. Can't wait to read the next entry. Happy traveling!
