Show trip route
We set our alarm for 6.30am as we had to get Sarah ready to meet the customs officers at 7.45am to be given clearance to leave the ship.
Went to the buffet for a quick breakfast, then headed off for the meeting with customs.
Sarah was cleared within 1 minute and then we were allowed to stay on the ship, as long as she disembarked by 2pm.
We then took the short 20 minute walk into the city. It was starting to rain slightly at this time, but not too much to get soaking wet.
The city was almost deserted, as being a Sunday most shops did not open until 11 am, the only people in the streets were from the ship.
Went to telecom New Zealand to buy a prepaid SIM card so we could use their Internet instead of paying the high prices for the ship.
After walking through the city for a couple of hours we headed back to the ship for some lunch before taking Sarah to the airport.
We managed to talk to Katie on viber as we could connect using the New Zealand SIM card. The cruise ship does not allow you to use viber on their service.
After lunch we caught a taxi from the cruise terminal to the airport.
Sarah's flight was not until 4pm but she had to checkin by 2pm.
We arrived at the airport just after 1.30pm and Sarah was told she would have to go through customs around 3pm. We waited at the airport until it was time for Sarah to go to customs.
We then caught a taxi back to the ship.
Sat down for just over 1 hour and then it was time for dinner again.
After dinner we went to the show to see a comedian called The Doctor. He was quite funny.
After the show we headed off to Cleopatra's Needle for the Majority Rules Trivia Game.
We met up with Debbie and Brian and Nolie and Mal from our dinner table.
It was a very funny game show, although we didn't do very good with the answers.
Just after midnight now, so time for bed again
