Show trip route
No need to rush today as we are at sea.
Went for a walk down to the promenade and they had the usual watch sale, they have on most cruise ships.
I actually bought myself a watch. We also bought 2 flashing Royal Caribbean drink glasses.
Went down to the aquarium bar to update the blog and download some photos, they have already set up the balloons for New Year's Eve as they will have a balloon drop in the promenade.
Before we realize or perhaps wishing too much, it is time for lunch, so off to the restaurant we head.
Once again a nice lunch, we both had the steak, kidney and mushroom pie for the 2nd time
After lunch we head up to deck 11 to see the people in the salon about Darelle getting her hair cut.
We then head to the ice skating rink on deck 3 as it is time for the ice skating show.
Very good show and something you don't usually get to do on a cruise ship
After the ice show Darelle goes back to the cabin for a sleep and I head out to the pool deck, as it is our first warm day for quite awhile.
Dinner dress is formal tonight. They have hats and head wear for the women as well as leis all with Happy New Year on them. The menu is done up with special new year design.
The waiters all have a sing along on the stairs in the restaurant.
After dinner we head to the show, featuring the ships dancers. They only sing really old songs, so it was not very exciting.
After the show we head to the promenade to get a good position for New Year's Eve celebrations. Even with nearly 2 hours to go it is starting to get crowded.
The band start playing at 11 pm and we are right in front of them, so have a good position. We are also trying to get close to the balloon and confetti drops.
The time passes quickly until the new year arrives. It was a good night.
We head off to bed at about 12.30am. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!!!
