Awoke this morning just before 8am (loving these sleep ins), went to the Dining Room for breakfast before our arrival into Hobart.
Another overcast day, with a maximum of 18 degrees, a little cool as we arrive.
We disembark the ship just after 10am and go for the short walk into the city to collect our rental car from Hertz.
We take our short drive of about 20 minutes from Hobart to Richmond. Richmond is an old historic village, with plenty of old buildings, wineries and home of Australia's second most photographed bridge. It starts to rain slightly as we are walking through Richmond.
We head back towards Hobart and stop at Eastlands Shopping centre, the largest in Hobart.
After a brief walk around Eastlands, Sarah and Darelle decide they want McDonalds for lunch.
We find a McDonalds just up the road from the Shopping centre and spend our lunchtime there.
After finishing lunch we decide to embark on the 25 minute drive to the Cadbury factory, the drive takes us through the northern suburbs of Hobart and we arrive at the Cadbury factory just before 2pm. Unfortunately it is CLOSED due to Christmas break.
We returned the hire car and had a walk through the city, returning back to the ship just before 4pm. We sit down for an ice cream at Ben & Jerry's in the Cafe Promenade before heading back to our cabin to get ready for our 2nd formal night.
We don't get dressed in full formal wear tonight as last night was formal as well.
We have dinner and the head off into the Promenade for the Christmas carols, something very different, you don't get to see too often on a cruise ship.
After the carols had finished we headed off to the show in the Le Scala Theatre, to watch the comedian/impressionist (Jonathan Clark)Vey funny and very talented man.
Show finishes just before 10pm and it is time for bed.
