We woke, fortunately E was feeling a lot better, I on the other hand needed her to lift me out of bed. Another day of not surfing then. Essentially we had another day relaxing by the pool reading and for Lady E to shop..... well to feel all the items in every shop, say she wants to continue looking and ask the starting price of everything but not find out what it should cost. It was all a bit frustrating as her flip flops have been broken for weeks now and I have found her a pair in her size for less than a pound but they are not the 'style' she wants. Style... clearly not a word that me and my mobile wardrobe understand, I understand cheap! (Erica edit:  I hardly shopped we went in to a couple of stalls and I was researching – and the flip flops were orthopaedic ones anyway).  Anyway my presence as shopping buddy soon irritated Erica so within an hour we were back nursing our injuries. We watched another episode of Entourage where the two pin heavyweight plug adapter plug socket and charger fell pin first onto my head which instantly provided a cartoon style bump on my head. Does everything come in threes because I’m in agony after two.  Erica just laughed her head off.

We grabbed our only meal of the day at a local eatery for mega cheap but it had cost maybe 4 times more for a large Bintang than a plate of special Nasi Goreng (fried rice) where is the fairness in that?  On the way back we had a brief argument with the owners of a couple of motorbike hire places before agreeing a price for a 1 year old fully automatic sport scooter for two days to do our own tour of the island (about 2.50 per day from about 6 so we couldn’t grumble). We wanted to see more of the island without having to pay the huge inflated prices of the organised tours.  After telling the company owners what we planned to do the following day they simply laughed at us and told us our plan was stupid you couldn’t possibly make a drive on a moped over the top of the mountains to the North coast and back in one day. With serious faces they suggested we book accommodation on the North coast and drive back the following day.  We however were adamant we could do it at the end of the day we could drive from sunrise till sunset, what could be the issue? Erica grabbed my helmet while I got a few driving instructions and we went to bed ready to face the long journey tomorrow.
