Another morning woken up by chirping birds at 7am, we set off for the beach at 8 had a cup of Chai and settled down to the strenuous activity of sunbathing with the Ipod and some books. The breeze made it very bearable and we stayed until 15:00 when we noticed we had both burnt in odd places. Erica caught the outside of her thigh and I managed to burn the really white bit where my flip flops had meant I got no tan at all. I wouldnt mind but I think we were in the shade for about 96% of the time.

This is one of the few beaches where Eggsy and I felt totally relaxed. The people there were such freaks, lots of speedos, mullets, genders we could not decide on, fully tattooed people and amazingly fat people. Oh yes and the people sat next to us were about 3 and 4, there mum put them down and just left them for a few hours sat naked next too us. At one point one of the girls cocked her leg up on the bed and weed everywhere.

What is an annoyance is the groups of camera happy indian men who love to take photos of women they Literally will stop in front of you whip out a camera then get on their knees or move about to get the best angle and light. I greet them by giving them the fingers and shouting "If you take one picture of her I'll rip your f'ing head off"... which is nice. The guide books do not suggest this course of action but Erica is wearing an almost one piece swimming costume to not 'expose too much'. The Russians however simple wear a thong and nothing else. The Indian women of course wear the full Sari which is lovely and its really athmospheric watching the sun go down with people walking the beach in the full attire.

We have then headed off North to the backpackers town of Arambol. It seems quite athmospheric but has so many mopeds I have no idea how to find mine. We will update photo's for last two days soon. We hung around town for a while then headed to a cliff top bar to watch the sun set. Another magical Goan sunset but the sun disapears before it reaches the horizon which is very odd. After a few Kingfishers, I thought I felt a tremor and reading Dils comment below I thought there must have been an earthquake or pending Tsunami but no it was Erica on the loo again. We drove back home and I told E not to shuffle about in case the police saw us and the bike was wobbling about. 2 mins later the blue and red lights were flashing behind us. Quite frankly I starte to fill my trousers but new a bribe of 100 - 200 rupees is about the figure you need as long as they dont get there hands on your original drivers license. It then becomes about 400 rupees (about 5 quid).

Erica got off the bike and I rehearsed the "can i pay an on the spot fine please officer' only to watch the vehicle shoot straight past us. Saved again.

p.s. Come on Jenny get cracking with this baby.
