This is the day we met up our Contiki tour and made our way to San Diego bright and early. We were joined by Christina (tour guide), Kevin (driver) and 50 other young travellers ready for 8 days of fun, from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We saved money by avoiding the "boat cruise of the harbour", and walked down the street to find nice little spanish court, where we ate nachos and saw a hummingbird!! We then got a nice tour of the city, before being dropped off downtown at a huge mall with lots of interesting stores. Later in the evening we went to Dicks, a wierd restaurant/bar where their theme is 'insulting and crude'. They rudely take your order, say "it's shit" when they pass out your meal, and give you hats with slogans such as "I name my crabs", but It was a nice mean and a unique change from your typical "may i take your order"!
The next day we had a free day, in which we chose to see the almighty Shamu at Seaworld. Our tour bus took us there, and it was a great day. Enjoyable rides, interesting animals, cool tricks. After that our tour bus took us on to the beach where we hung out for an hour or so in this little village with random carnival events.
