It was very hard to leave our snugly warm cave at 5am in the morning whilst it was freezing cold outside. I would say it was hovering around the 0 degrees mark. Unfortunately I had forgotten to take a picture of our actual campsite to show you how cool it was but at 5am it was dark! It was the first time we left 'the beach' closed (I’ll need to upload a picture of it but basically it’s our sun roof) – it was rather cold.

Again everyone spread around the truck to have a sleep. Sleeping bags were pulled out and wrapped tightly around each individual, so we all looked like coloured slugs sleeping. We had breakfast on the truck and stopped off at a local corner shop before stopping off in a paddock for some lunch. I was a bit of a wimp and sat in the truck. I couldn’t eat my lunch whilst looking at poo! – eww

With another 6 hours to go, Andrew kindly put together a quiz to kill the time. Of course he was Quizmaster and enjoyed it very much. We got into 3 teams: ‘The Fairy Chimneys’, ‘Know it Alls’ and ‘Arse end’ (because they were at the end of the truck). Each team got to choose their category, a sprinkling for bonus questions were thrown in for the extra hard ones. In the end ‘The Fairy Chimneys’ won! – woo hoo – I was in that team but to be honest, it was purely down to Nathan and Maureen’s random knowledge of the world.

We got to our accommodation at around 6pm. We were staying in Tree houses for the next 2 nights, which was kind of cool. Orange trees filled the spaces between the tree houses and chickens roamed freely between them. There was also the occasional ‘maaae’ and ‘eeyore’ from the goat and donkey living behind our treehouse!

After eating our delicious hot Turkish buffet dinner we climbed up to our Treehouses and curved up under our mountain of duvets for a much needed sleep.
