Jumped on my bike and couldn't get out of Delhi quicker! I'm finding it hard work on the road - and it will take a little getting used to the oncoming cars coming at you in your lane, the constant horn blowing, and having to compete for pole position at every interection.
I arrived at Haridwar (footsteps of the gods) on the River ganges at noon and took a dip along with thousands of hindu pilgrams and the water was the coldest i've felt since arriving in India. Headed a little further up to Rishikesh, the 'yoga capital' of the world and such a contrast to Delhi with it being cooler, more serene and about 12.8 million less people!
I found a nice quiet place to stay up on the western bank with a view of the great ganga from my verandah.
