Having got up at 5am and just missed the bus to the station (which we knew we would and had luckily left enough time to catch the next one 20 min later) the departures board at ipswich showed our train to harwich had been cancelled! After a brief panic it emerged that we could get on a London train and change at manningtree - phew! Once we were on the ferry (stena Britannica) matt galantly upgraded us to the stena plus lounge, which is definitely paying for itself in free papers, beverages and, most importantly, comfy recliners and peace! So, we have settled in comfortably for our voyage :-)
