Today was amazing!!  I had a late start to my day, but the professor of my Hungarian Culture class took all of his students, myself included, on a lovely walking tour of the city.  We started at 2 and walked until around 4:30.  We visited the beautiful yellow church and climbed countless stairs to get an incredible view of Hungary!  These were the scariest stairs of my life.  They were wooden, tiny, and only wide enough for about 1/2 a person... My knees were literally shaking by the time I slowly crept to the top, but it was absolutely worth it.  After we went to a fancy Belgian restaurant and I had the most delicious dinner... No idea what it's called in Hungarian, but it's something like "salty pancakes" in English.  Either way, it was awesome!
While on the tour I met a ton of new international students and when I returned to the campus hotel, we had a foosball tournament!  I. Love. Foosball.  I suffered my first defeat in Hungary, however, after a rematch, I reclaimed my title as champion.  After the tourney, I went outside to cheer for the international student soccer team.  They got their asses handed to them.  When I couldn't watch anymore, I realized that my new international friends from the tour had started a basketball game with some Hungarians.  We ended up playing for about 3 hours and making 5 new Hungarian friends and plans to play this upcoming Thursday at 9 PM.  Awesome.  However, when we started playing, none of us were in proper basketball attire, one guy even played in flip flops!  Luckily, I've played a game or two of "Pig" in my lifetime and I scored about 16 points! Unfortunately, I have no defense whatsoever.  Oh well, I had so much fun!  I look forward to next Thursday!  And enjoy my crazy pictures! I almost died trying to take them from the clock tower.
